League insider Tom Pelissero of the NFL Network reported that Mac Jones is unlikely to be suspended, but he might be fined.
Pelissero said on X, the former Twitter, that “#Patriots QB Mac Jones isn’t expected to be suspended for allegedly cup-checking #Jets CB Sauce Gardner in Sunday’s game.
Jones said Monday nothing was planned.
Pelissero added that the NFL evaluates all plays and Jones may be punished.
